We work as partners.
The project and its requirements determine your daily workplace. Whether for a few weeks or months – here you work together with your team towards the agreed goals. The consulting activity requires direct contact with our customers. Willingness to travel, flexibility and mobility are therefore essential characteristics that you must bring with you.
Working together on site with our customers is necessary for every project. We have found that important, binding decisions are still best made by handshake and from person to person. We prefer a personal conversation to an e-mail. Together with your team colleagues, you will therefore live a varied professional life. We expect that you’ll find this as exciting as we do.

What do our colleagues say?
Here you can read voices from the mgm-team and gain a first glimpse behind the scenes. We have asked some colleagues to describe and share their everyday project and office life with us. The result is a colourful and, as we can confirm, realistic picture.
“Commitment is an attitude.”
To me, Consulting means being committed to the client, for sustainable results and good teamwork in the project. Sometimes bigger goals are added to this.
Our project for the DESERTEC Foundation had everything I want:
Challenging, complex task: developing a strategy to trigger global development with very limited resources and building a strong NGO
Meaningful client goals: promoting solar and wind energy in desert regions, local socio-economic development, building bridges between science, industry and civil society
We defined a scope of services as well as areas of action in workshops with the Executive Board and Supervisory Board. Possibilities for implementing the visionary goals were developed together. External experts supported us with specific technical issues, such as fundraising or trademark law. Our student trainee‘s masters thesis provided further input.
In the end, a strategy areas of responsibility, and governance were set out for a professional NGO and we learned a lot as well. The engagement became contagious: An online blog was inspired by the idea of contributing to the implementation of the energy transition, a platform for topics related to storage technologies and innovations in the energy sector.
loves unusual projects and likes to get involved – at work and beyond.
“The best combination of private and professional interests.”
When I finished my studies, I asked myself where I was going to go. Good career opportunities were very important to me, but at the same time I didn’t want to completely lose the flexibility of my study time. With mgm I have found an employer who enables me to do both. Here I am given the freedom to optimally promote the combination of private and professional interests.
The days that I am not at the customer’s site can be arranged very freely. I can do my work from time to time in my home office or start a little later or leave earlier, for example if I have a doctor’s appointment. If there is a major conflict between private interests and my work, mgm will listen to me and we’ll work out a solution together. There is a culture of trust, which I have learned to appreciate very much.
Of course, mgm also demands flexibility from me, because the client is usually not located where I live. In addition, there are phases of varying intensity in the project business. The demanding consulting business and the trusting, flexible culture of mgm offer me the ideal working environment in which I can perfectly combine my professional and private interests. That’s another reason why I have been feeling very comfortable at mgm for more than years now.
